Asphalt Drum Mix plants 

Asphalt Hot mix plants constitutes of following parts:-

1. Four Bin Feeder

  • Four bin feeder is an essential part of  asphalt hot mix plant as name states it feeds cold aggregates to the mixing unit constantly. Its discharge is controlled automatically as well as manually .Each bin is provided with independent gate for the controlled discharge with gear and motor system to regulate discharge as per mixture requirement.
  • A vibrating motor is provided on dust bin to easy flow of dust which gets clogged due to moisture.
  • A gathering conveyor system which collects all the four aggregates from bins which is driven by AC motor and roller system.
  • Vibrating screen is use to filter out the oversize aggregates which is not required in our system and transfer remaining aggregates to the charging conveyor.

2. Slinger conveyor

Slinger conveyor transfer the discharge from gathering belt to the mixing unit. A load cell is provided under a slinger conveyor which is used to measure the weight of aggregates. It gives us the weight ton per hour.

3. Drying & Mixing drum unit

This is the component in which cold aggregates from slinger conveyor discharge. Heating and mixing is performed inside .Oil jet burner is capable of throwing long flames which covers almost half of the drum and bitumen and filler is sprayed in the form of jet which coat aggregates and form a final mixture. Cylindrical drum is placed on a trunnion roller by rings which supports the drum and make rotation smooth. Rings are supported with thrust wheel to keep the drum alignment correct and resist movement of drum downward in operations under load.

4. Burner

We use burner of “Burner India” which is one of the renowned name in burner industry which manufacture burner for different industry.

MICRO PROCESSOR AND PLC-SCADA BASED AUTO CONTROL PANEL (optional)

The control panel is a latest technology microprocessor technology and PLC-SCADA based controlled operation. Through this systems we get production reports and daily reports etc. In this panel system there are many facilities like ac motor control, main burner control, bitumen burner control, general section, dc dimmer control / ac drive control, microprocessor unit with load cell system, computer printer etc.

6. Control Cabin

Control cabin is specially designed to accommodate computerized control panel. Cabin is provided with light and windows which gives proper view of plant operation. It is also provided with foldable curtains. AC is fitted for keeping the control cabin cool which is essential for operator comfort as well as longer life of electronic components in control panel.

7.Pollution control devices

Pollution control device is used to suppress the level of pollution which is caused by burning of asphalt and dust of cold aggregates.Pollution Control unit is capable of suppressing optimum amount of pollution. It produces pollution under the permissible limit by MORTH . It is our main concern to keep our environment clean thus we use new technologies to achieve minimum emission from our plant.

8. Load out conveyor

Load out conveyor transfers the finished mixture to the gob hopper. Gob hopper is fitted at a height where dumping trucks can be easily parked for filling. Gob hopper has separate power pack for its operation, opening and closing is performed by hydraulic cylinder. Hot mix silo is optional.

9.Bitumen storage

We supply bitumen storage tanks of various capacity ranging from 15-50 tons. “O” or “U” shaped well insulated by lightly resin bonded mattress (LRB) with sheet cladding all around to keep the asphalt heated for longer time. We provide LRB with thickness of 50mm all over the tank. Chimney, loading hole, platform is provided for the ease to refill tank quickly. Temperature meter and thermocouple is fitted to get the temperature readings of bitumen inside the tank. Seamless pipes are used to avoid the chances of leakages.
